Appendix 1 Additional measuring method

Direction of using limb clip type electrodes: clean the electrodes by using wet cloth; plug the lead wires into socket; or

affix the lead wires to clip, and then keep the clip in measuring position.

Direction of using sucking bulb electrode: Squeeze the rubber bulb with your hand to make the metal dish place on the

measuring position.

1. Limb lead measurement (paste on chest)

This measurement applies to long term measurement for ECG signal of limb lead I, II, or III. The electrodes are adhesive

ECG electrodes.

The location of the electrodes: (as shown in figure 1)

R: below the clavicle and close to right shoulder;

L: below the clavicle and close to left shoulder;

N: on the right lower abdomen;

F: on the left lower abdomen.

2. Chest lead measurement (paste on chest)

R (red): below the clavicle and close to left shoulder;

L (yellow): below the clavicle and close to right shoulder;

F (green): on chest, please refer to the figure 4 (location of V1-V6 is optional).

N (black): unused.

3. Chest lead measurement (limb clip type electrodes + sucking bulb electrode)

R(red): place on interior of left arm (between wrist and elbow)；

L (yellow): place on interior of the right arm (between wrist and elbow);

F sucking bulb electrode (green): on chest，please refer to the figure 4 -1(location of V1-V6 is optional)；

N (black): unused.
